Welcome to Spartan Global Development Fund

The Spartan Global Development Fund is a new student initiative at Michigan State University designed to help fight poverty and inequality in the developing world. With money raised through the support of our local community and committed alumni, we manage a loan portfolio of Microcredit loans to the most committed entrepeneurs in the world that have been previously excluded from financial support to help their businesses grow.

Through the direct disbursement of Microcredit, we play a crucial role in the capital markets by extending business opportunities to those that need it most in the form of sustainable forms of capital. All of our loans are disbursed and managed through the Kiva.org loan system allowing us immediate operational ability in 48 countries with zero overhead cost to manage the portfolio.
